Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can. This page explains exactly what, and why.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, the time you subscribed and confirmed, the version of the consent text you agreed to, the source form, and a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) used to limit abuse.
- Contact form: your name, email address, message, and a one-way IP hash.
- Reading analytics (optional): when enabled, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for aggregate page views, performance and a few non-identifying events such as newsletter form views, shares and read depth. We do not send your email address or what you search for.
- Google Analytics (only if you accept): if you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies and sends page-view data to Google. If you decline, it never loads. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard request logs for security and reliability.
Why we use it
To send the newsletter you asked for, reply to your messages, keep the site secure, and understand which content is useful. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Newsletter consent
We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe on our unsubscribe page if you have a link. If an address bounces or reports a message as spam, we stop emailing it.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel hosts the site and, if enabled, provides analytics.
- Google provides analytics if you accept the cookie banner.
- A database provider stores subscriber and contact records.
- Resend (or another SMTP provider) delivers email.
How long we keep it
Subscriber records are kept while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe we keep a minimal suppression record so we do not email you again. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of corrections.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to its use, by contacting us. If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above.
